*yes you will need a registered copy of the game.
*it will start costing you money when you want to begin gameplay, cant imagine it being more than 10-15$ a month.
*Im sure you will be able to play solo, but as in all other mmo games it will be better for you to join a guild/fleet to have others to play with regularly.
It’s Star Trek, you bellshit… Back to your hole.
@karkrashinc You need a registered copy of the game and if it’s like any other mmo you’ll load up the software and it will add an icon to your desktop. While loading it will ask for billing information and you’ll be billed $15 a month to play (it doesn’t matter how long you play online it’ll still be $15 charge from Cryptic). From what I gather you can play by yourself but you might be limited in the sort of things you can do and missions you can take on.
This game has so little to do with Star Trek…that’s a shame, I was looking forward to it five years ago when I first read the preview.
why do people bring up that lack lustre game at every opportunity?
I guess it makes sense that it can’t be as star-trek like as some fans would want it to be, as it’s an RPG in which you make your own character. It’s just a game set in the Star Trek universe, rather than a game where you play out events in the series or movies.
So far Im impressed. Unlike Eve ( don’t get me wrong I loved Eve, this game is just different) STO has different dynamics. The death penalty isn’t painful and positioning your ship is more crucial for battles than Eve which relies on strength (weapons capabilities, range etc) You have to research the game and learn about skills, equipment and tweaking your landing party. Ill still play WOW but STO will be a nice change and different platform.
it took 5years to make this thing? They must of had funding issues, because this doesnt look like 5yrs worth of work at all.
looks like a shit game… I mean $60 for this?!?!? and $15 a month???
